It's been a pretty busy last week.
Friday my friend Tiffany came over and we decorated our caps for commencement! Then we went to Graduation Celebration. This is where all the UTA grads got together to eat and listen to the keynote speaker, James Franco. He was an awesome speaker, and we even got to meet him and get his autograph.
Then Sunday afternoon everyone came over to my apartment for a light dinner before commencement. Then we headed to the campus. It was so surreal to be sitting in graduation. I am really excited to see what is in store for my future!

bad blogger...
So I have been a really bad blogger lately. I feel like I do the same thing every week, so there really isn't anything new going on. Here is just a couple of things that I have going on...
Last Saturday Mom and I went to dinner with Mrs. Tammie, Jenn, Heather, and Mrs. Tommy. Jenn is moving all the way to Atlanta on Saturday, so it was a super low key going away lunch. I can't believe she is moving half way across the country!! I am so sad, but happy for her at the same time. It has really started to hit me that we are all grown up and living our big kid lives now!
Yesterday I went and picked up all my stuff for graduation! I seriously can NOT wait. It is only 6 weeks away!! I have been applying to jobs like crazy, and am really hoping that I will start to hear something back soon. I am giving my self until the last week in April before I am going to let myself start to freak out. After I finish this update I am going to go and apply for some more so hopefully one of those will be promising!
I am still loving my internship. I have really gotten to know the clients that come in on a regular basis. It is so fun to keep up with their journeys, and to know that I am a part of that.
Everything is about to start getting really busy in the next few weeks, so I will definitely have more to update about. :)

Mardi Gras
Last Friday after I got off work, Dad and Suzanne came to pick me up and we drove all night to Baton Rouge to see Rob. We got there around 11, went and saw Rob, then checked into the hotel so we could sleep. I wasn't able to sleep so Rob and I went and got ice cream and hung out. It was a ton of fun getting to see his new home and how he lives down there. It was also fun just to hang out, since it had been like 2 months since we last saw each other. Later, when they woke up, we went to dinner and then to the LSU Baseball game. I'm pretty sure it was opening weekend so it was really exciting to be there.
Sunday we drove down to New Orleans for the Krewe of Bacchus' Mardi Gras parade. It was my first time to experience Mardi Gras New Orleans style, and it definitely didn't disappoint. It was complete chaos, and there were people EVERYWHERE!!! Will Ferrell was the grand marshall, and it was way cool seeing him as he rode by. After the parade, we dropped Rob off at his apartment and headed home.
Overall it was a super fun weekend!
peace.

Bust, Busy, Busy
Sorry for the lack of posts. My schedule has been completely hectic ever since classes started, but I am finally getting a routine down.
Classes have started and I fortunately am only taking two. Without really planning it, I put off the two easiest classes in the degree track until the last minute. So thankfully my classes this semester aren't that hard. It is basically stuff we have already learned in past classes, with a couple new facts interjected. My Obesity and Weight management prof is SUPER annoying. She is a full time dietician and doesn't let us forget it. She has a new job everyday like working with the Rangers, Stars, USA Track Team, President, starving people of Nigeria, the farther into class the more ridiculous the jobs get. My Strength & Conditioning teacher is super chill, he also has a regular full-time job as a S&C coach, and just does this on the side. Overall, the semester shouldn't be that bad though.
I also started my internship and absolutely LOVE IT!!! I have been spending about 10 hours a week at the Baylor Dallas location, at the FitSteps Center. I have really gotten to know some of the participants, and love hearing their stories and how much the program has helped them. I also get to help start new patients and customize the program for them. Next Thursday I even get to teach a 30 minute exercise class all by myself. I am so excited, and so fortunate I am getting so much experience out of this. Also, after hearing all of the participants talk about their situation, whether it be they were just diagnosed, are currently in treatment, or have been in remission for a while, it makes me so fortunate for my health. Cancer is a horrible disease.
Usually when I am not in class, at work, or at my internship I am resting. It gets exhausting being constantly on the go. Fortunately the other night my friend Kelsey was in town so I was able to meet up with her for a bit and catch up. She is a vegetarian, so she wanted to try this vegan diner in Dallas. I like to think I am pretty adventurous so I told her I was down to try it. Well.. it was interesting. I couldn't really get over the idea that everything was made a little differently than I was used to. She ordered chips and "queso" for an appetizer. The "queso" was ground up cashews that you dipped your chips in. I tried it, however it wasn't my favorite. So for my meal I just stuck with a good ol' PB & J. It is safe to say that I won't be a frequent visitor at this diner, but at least I can check eating at a vegan restaurant off my bucket list!
peace.

Steamboat Springs
I just got back Sunday night from a week in Steamboat Springs with Dad, Suzanne, Rob, Hudson and the rest of the family. It was a ton of fun, and great to get to spend a week hanging out with everyone. There was a little issue with the flights leaving Dallas, so I got there a day later then everyone else. But, When I got there we immediately went and got fitted for our skis.
Tuesday was our first day on the slopes. I spent the day getting a lesson from a ski teacher which helped me a TON. It was a long day of skiing and by the time we got back to the house everyone was EXHAUSTED!
Wednesday we got up and went skiing again. However, my legs started hurting really bad (which I found out later was because of the size of my boots) so Dad and I ended up going back to the base of the mountain and hanging out at a restaurant while everyone else skied down.
Thursday I went shopping at a downtown area with Kristy, Nana, Poppy, Katelyn, and Cole. The town of Steamboat is really cute and quaint. They had a ton of cute stores all up and down this street. Then that night everyone went on a sleigh ride and had dinner. I'm not going to lie, the sleigh ride was WAYY more fun than I was expecting. It was a warm -10 degrees outside and these two giant horses pulled about 20 people in a sleigh all around this farm. Then we stopped at a little log cabin and had a great dinner, and a little concert by a local duo. Then we all bared the temperature on the sleigh back to the bus that took us home.
Friday morning I went snowmobiling with Rob, Kristy, Chris, and the kids. That was way cool because we rode through this forest that was SO pretty!! Dad and Suzanne got married! It was an awesome ceremony that I actually officiated! How cool?!
Saturday was our last full day there, so we all decided to spend the day skiing. I did way better than I expected going down the runs. My real problem was when I was standing still. I would just topple over with my skis still on. How embarrassing!! One time I even face planted it getting on to a chair lift, where the chair proceeded to stop right on top of me. That was the worst because they had to stop the whole lift just to help me up.
Sunday we headed back to Dallas. Then I came home and SLEPT!! The trip was so much fun!!
peace.

You're never alone...
My devotional last night was too good not to share. Enjoy!
"You can achieve the victorious life through living in deep dependence on GOD. People usually associate victory with success: not falling or stumbling, not making mistakes. But those who are successful in their own strength tend to go their own way, forgetting about GOD. It is through problems and failure, weakness and neediness that you learn to rely on GOD.
True dependence is not simply asking GOD to bless what you have decided to do. It is coming to GOD with an open mind and heart, allowing GOD to plant his desires in you. He may infuse within you a dream that seems far beyond your reach. You know that in yourself you cannot achieve such a goal. Thus begins your journey of profound reliance on GOD. It is a faith walk, taken one step at a time, leaning on GOD as much as you need. This is not a path of continual success but of continual failures. However, each failure is followed by a growth spurt, nourished by increased reliance on him. Enjoy the blessedness of a victorious life , through deepening your dependence on GOD"

DAY 365!!!!! (Yay!!!!)
First of all I did it!!!! I can honestly say this is the first resolution I have kept for an entire year! How cool is that!
This year was definitely been a year I won't forget. It has been full of ups and downs that have helped make me a stronger person. And I have been blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing people during that time.
2012 is proving to be an even better year. There are so many exciting things to look forward too, my internship, graduating, Europe, and starting a new job! i I am so ready to get it started and see what it all has in store for me!
NYE I spent with The Vinciguerra's playing games and enjoying some fun time hanging out. We played this hilarious game called Quelf, and if you ever need a game to play at a part definitely check it out! We had a blast and definitely an awesome way to start the New Year!
Happy New Years!!!!
