Day 118/119

Yesterday was a big day for my to-do list. My group finished our poster for our research project. This seriously is been one of the biggest projects of my life and I have to say I am pretty happy with it. After we present this we have a paper to write and then we will be DONE!!!! (and published...pretty cool huh?)

Today was the day of the Royal Wedding. I am not going to lie, I wasn't that into it until insomnia kicked in last night and I couldn't sleep. I was watching T.V. and all that was on was the countdown to the wedding. So of course I got sucked in and now I am obsessed! Can you even imagine marrying a Prince and all that pressure?? I am sure she is so relieve right now that everything is over. Something that I thought was pretty crazy is she can never play monopoly again because apparently a couple years ago there was a huge altercation between the royal family over a game that got to heated. So crazy...

This week is half way over...PRAISE THE LORD!!! We had our final Kinesiology departmental lecture today. This one was actually really interesting. He was a former student and the first scholarship wheelchair basketball player. After graduation he ended up playing for the Dallas Wheelchair Mavericks and represented the USA in the para-olympics. Anyways, now he owns his own company that he started in college where he designs athletics wheelchairs. It was pretty cool.

Today has been a HUGE relief. This morning I had part of my research presentation, and we ended up getting a 90 which isnt to bad. It was so nice to get that over with and be able to focus on everything else that is due this week and next. Then I had my lab practical for physics. It wasn't to bad, just glad I don't have to think about it anymore. But I am OFFICIALLY over physics. I have a test tomorrow and it's my only comprehensive final. I just hate it so much and can't wait to burn my book after I am done!

This is officially going to be the most stressful end of the semester EVER!!! I have SOO much to do this week, yet what do I do at work tonight??? Watch the Rangers game. haha I have great priorities...

HAPPY EASTER!!! We started off this morning going to Church, then had an awesome meal that Nana made. It was delicious. Then we went over to the Smith's and had an easter egg hunt. It was a lot of fun. And, I'm so thankful for all that today means.

Last night I didn't get a chance to post, but it was a fun day. In lab we did Hydrostatic Weighing. It was really interesting to see, and really cool that we got a chance to so it for free. This is my friend Tiffany doing it.

One of my favorite shows is back on TV. Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution is an awesome and super informative show. I suggest you watch it, ESPECIALLY if you have little kids. It is really eye opening. It comes on Tuesday nights on ABC

There has been bad weather all afternoon across North Texas. I am working in the gym tonight right by window so I was hoping for a good show. I kept checking weather.com hoping it would get bad, and all it said was there was a tornado watch (these are a daily occurrence this time of year...so not that big of a deal.) All of the sudden the sirens started to go off and we were being shoved into the locker rooms. There were about 200 girls in one locker room. Everyone was on their cell phones, meaning there was absolutely no service. The one place I could find service though was in a shower. So I stood in a shower(because I was not about to sit down) for thirty minutes until we could leave. This would have been way worse, but luckily I was getting paid for it so not that bad of a deal. Everyone's story is different but I think they spotted a funnel cloud from the ballpark, causing us to have to take shelter. This picture is of everyone rushing to the door after we were released.

Gas prices are getting absolutely ridiculous. Really?!?!? $3.76 for a gallon of gas?!?! Maybe that is why our economy sucks/sucked. I used to pay $25 to fill up my car, today it cost me $42. CRAZY!!!

Tonight I went and saw Kathleen Madigan, a comedian, at House of Blues with Rob, Dad, and Suzanne. She was really really funny! And house of blues of course was always fun. Now I am about to crash. I had a little break today so I came home and was watching TV and ended up passing out. I didn't realize how tired I was until I woke up. Hopefully this weekend I can get rested up.

I am doing absolutely everything possible right now OTHER than study for my exercise physiology test right now.

We had another riveting mandatory kines lecture today, and once again I didn't pay attention. Now I am sitting at work watching old Jimmy Fallon episodes and checking facebook constantly. Eventually I will get to studying.

It was not a good day in Ranger world today. It's bad enough to lose, but it's even worse to lose on a 9th inning walk-off with 2 outs and the bases loaded. And on top of all that Hamilton fractured his humerus and is out 6-8 weeks.

Woah!! Day 100!! That's pretty awesome.

Anyways, this weekend my friend Kelsey came into town. Yesterday we went to the Southwest Airlines Chili cook-off. (She works for southwest) I had never been to a legit chili cook off and I have to admit it was a lot of fun!! First we walked around and of course ate a ton of chili. Then we played Bingo. It was awesome, even though we didn't win anything. Then we went to Dave and Busters and had some fun.

Today, we went on a tour of Cowboy's Stadium. It was so much fun! We wanted to go last time she was here, but didn't ever get the chance. I recommend everyone go on this tour at some point. The designer's of the stadium put so much thought into every detail it's ridiculous. There are original art pieces all over which are really cool too. Get ready for a lot of pictures....

Today we started our research project for my data acquisition class. It feels so good to actually get started on it. We have been doing all the preparations for so long. We ended up testing 25 people today which is awesome! Hope everyone else had a good day!!

Today seemed like it was the longest day everrrr.... After class, I took a nap and then did some serious cleaning. I have been going non stop and my apartment was disgusting, but not any more!!! The Rangers didn't play tonight, but the exciting news is that they are 6-0!! Hopefully they can keep it up for the rest of the season.

UTA decided it would be a good idea to test their emergency alert system today. After an hour of sirens, 5 text messages, 3 emails, and 2 phone calls they finally decided it worked. Don't get me wrong I am totally thankful for the whole thing, but after an hour of the loudest siren EVER I was less than amused. Then when I got to my class the building's fire alarm was going off so we had to sit outside for 30-ish minutes until they turned it off. The cool part was they had this band of soldiers playing outside the library. They were actually really good, and it was fun to just chill and listen to them play.

Today was A Day Without Shoes. The idea was begun by Toms Shoes to create awareness of all the people who aren't fortunate enough to have shoes and all the diseases that come with that. Although I didn't go barefoot today, I was barefoot in spirit and sporting my TOMS t-shirt.

Tonight I went to my good friend Anna Lee and her boyfriend Michael's senior recital. It went really well and their pieces were beautiful. I remember going to senior recital's my freshman year and thinking how old the seniors were. Now I am a senior and have friends giving their recitals. Crazy....

Today was a really fun day. Robert and I ran up to Kroger to get some drinks before my aunt and uncle came over to Dad's. As we were about to check out, the manager of Kroger came over the PA system and announced they were giving away a free gift to all the adults in the store. So of course we love free stuff, so we went to see what it was. They ended up doing this whole kitchen demonstration in the middle of Kroger, and we got this free kitchen juicer. It was so funny because this lady was getting so into the whole thing. She commented on everything the chef was doing and having full on conversations with Rob and I. We were laughing so hard. Then we went home and got to hang out with Dad, Suzanne, My aunt and uncle and their kids. I hadn't seen them in a long time, so it was really fun to catch up. We went to dinner at Magic Time Machine, which is always a fun place.

Today was my favorite day of the year! Opening day for the Rangers! It's always such an exciting day. As I was driving home from class today, people were already starting to tailgate, and it was 10 am. Unfortunately I didn't get to watch the game, (I had to work, boo!) but I thankfully get updates sent to my phone.

But this is how I watched the entire game, thank goodness for technology.
