Today I got a really good work out in before I had to be at work. The best part about my major is that I learn all the most effective ways to train/workout. I love it because you feel accomplished every time. The picture is kind of blurry because I didn't want to stop. Just think of it as artistic.

day 57/58
This weekend has been super busy and super relaxing all at the same time. I have been so busy recently that any time I have to chill is amazing. Last night I hung out with Anna Lee. We went to dinner and then to a friend's house. It was a lot of fun, I hadn't hung out with her in quite a while so it was fun to catch up.

Today I did some major spring cleaning. I am the kind of person that once I start cleaning, I can't stop. So I only start when know I have time to finish. Some big news today is that the Rangers had their first spring training game against the Royals. They ended up losing, but that's okay. You have to take spring training games with a grain of salt because the starting players only play two or three innings. Then tonight, I went to dinner and a movie with Dad, Suzanne, and Rob. We had sushi (my fav) and went and saw Hall Pass. It was really really funny, but kind of the guy's equivalent of a chick flick. The best part of the whole movie were these two guys sitting behind us. The had the loudest laugh, scratch that, the loudest cackle I have ever heard in my life. Everytime they would laugh I would laugh. It was quite entertaining.

day 56
This week has been the week of no sleep. Between the tests, homework, work it was been busy, busy, busy. So today since I had a lot of time between class and work I took not one but TWO naps. I came home from class and took one, went to lunch with Krystel, and then came home and took another one. It was absolutely amazing. And the sad thing is, is that I am still exhausted and will probably go to sleep as soon as I get home tonight.

day 55
Today was the last launch of the space shuttle Discovery. I didn't even realize it was taking off today until like 10 minutes before it launched. It's always so cool to see it take off, and to think that they are in space right now. So bizarre. Tomorrow is Friday......HALLELUJAH!!!!

day 54
My best friend for the past couple of days has been my exercise physiology book. I have a test tomorrow morning (and should be studying right now...but instead I'm doing this.) that is going to be probably the hardest test I will ever take. We have an hour and twenty minutes to do 50 multiple choice, 50 short answer, and replicate one graph(out of 30 in our notes). Needless to say I am stressing out majorly right now.
I can't figure out how to flip it, sorry!

Right now I'm skyping with Hillary. Technology is amazing, to think that we are over 200 mils away and can see each other like were having a face to face conversation.

day 52
It was absolutely gorgeous outside today. It is one of those few days where I enjoy being able to walk from class to class. These kind of days are numbered in Texas because its usually either freezing cold or hot as heck. I had a little time between class and work so I sat outside and studied. It was gorgeous.

day 50/51
Yesterday was a busy, busy day. For one of my classes this semester I have a semester long research project that is our entire grade for that class. So needless to say it is very time consuming. So yesterday I met with my group for a few hours, worked, then went to meet the family at Fuddrucker's for Keith's birthday. It was really fun, and we got to meet Merelee's family too. While we were eating we caught the end of the slam dunk contest. BLAKE GRIFFIN WON!!!!!! For those of you that don't know, my claim to fame is that I was stuck in the elevator with his brother Taylor, who also plays professional basketball, while we were both at OU.
Keith's Cake
Blurry picture, but thats my boy when he found out he won!
Today, Im just getting ready for the most stressful week of my life coming up. BUT....today is the official start of Spring Training for my Rangers. Which means the countdown has begun....39 days until opening day!!!

day 49
I met with my advisor this morning after class and it is official, I AM GRADUATING IN THE FALL!!!!! AHHH I was freaking out. When she told me to register for graduation this summer I almost cried. I can't believe this time next year I will be a college graduate. This is RIDICULOUS!

day 48
Thursday is by far the best day for TV. One of my new favorite shows is Police Women of Cincinnati. I started watching it last season when it was filmed in Dallas, and have been hooked ever since. And of course on Thursday is Grey's Anatomy and Jersey Shore. Such a good night!

day 47
I have been at work for 4 hours now, and have been working on physics homework the entire time. My brain is on serious overload right now. Luckily it hasn't been very busy so I have been able to get a lot of it done.

day 45
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
Today was pretty boring. But it was absolutely GORGEOUS outside. I tried to stay outside as much as I could today. The best part is it is going to be like this the rest of the week!!! I am so excited.

day 44
So for my valentine's day gift, Mom and Nana gave me a build-a-bear that is dressed as a Texas Ranger. It is SO cute, and it's my own personal Ranger ;).

day 43
Today was a busy, but fun day. I was at lunch and got a text from my friend Cortney saying that she was on her way to Dallas to see her brother. I was so surprised and excited. So I was able to see her for a bit and meet Baby Baron. He is ADORABLE!! And tonight I was able to go to Cirque du Solelil "Ovo". It was amazing! They make all the stunts look so easy. I definitely recommend seeing it if you ever get the chance.

day 42
Let me tell you....what a freaking day. As I was leaving for school this morning I was running late, when I realized I left my phone at home. I knew it was going to be one of those days after that. Work was crazy! Nothing was working, and it seemed like everyone was asking for something. I finally got off got home and then went to dinner with my Dad. We went to Genghis and it was delish!!! So after not having my phone all day I realized how much I depend on it. It seriously is like another limb, its kind of ridiculous.

day 41
By the time I get home tonight, I will have been at school for over 12 hours. That is ridiculous. Campus was still a little icey in some areas today. It was only bad in there areas with no direct sun light. The funniest part was seeing all the fountains still frozen. I took pictures of the 2 I walked by today.

day 40
We had yet another snow day. And I was actually upset that we didn't have school today. A requirement for being in a kinesiology major is to attend three guest lectures a semester. They are usually so boring, and it is so hard to stay focused during them. Today Jon Daniels, the general manager for the Rangers, was the guest lecturer. I was SO EXCITED to go and listen to him speak. And of course, class gets cancelled and I doubt he will be able to come back because spring training starts next week.(YAY!) For dinner tonight, I made a super yummy salad and it was only 8 weight watcher points!
peace.

day 39
I feel like I have been hit by a mack truck. I think that doing absolutely nothing for almost a week then all the sudden going non stop is taking its toll on me. I am so exhausted. Today was Krystel's birthday, so we went to dinner tonight to celebrate. This morning I decorated her room with a banner and ballons, to surprise her.

day 38
I have been working on physics homework for close to 3 hours and I am STILL NOT DONE!! My brain is on serious overload for it being the first day back from our "vacation". So needless to say this is going to be short and sweet. We finally went full on grocery shopping tonight. We haven't had a big grocery trip since last semester so obviously it was time. I was going to take a picture of our cart but I forgot. So here is our newly stocked freezer.
peace.

day 36/37
Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I ended up getting home really late, so I fell asleep before I could post anything.
The temperature FINALLY went above freezing so practically all the snow and ice melted yesterday and we could finally get out and so stuff. My friend Jenn was home for the weekend so I got to see her yesterday. She just got engaged so we were talking all about her wedding. Im so excited for it!
Today, of course, is Super Bowl Sunday. Now as much of a PAIN it has been to have to deal with all the traffic, road closures, hype, etc. it is pretty cool to think that the Super Bowl is right in my backyard.
peace.

day 35
I woke up this morning with 4 inches of snow on the ground. All week the weathermen were predicting "less than an inch" of snow today. Well I think total we ended up getting around 6 inches. It has pretty much paralyzed all of DFW. The streets are covered and under all the snow is still all that ice. People are starting to call it Snowmagedon.
The radar this morning.
A super cute snowman someone made
SNOW ICE CREAM!!!
Right after I woke up. It came down for another 5 or so hours.

day 34 aka ice day 3
Yesterday I mentioned I had cabin fever. Totally it is about 10 times worse. And to make it even worse classes are cancelled tomorrow. As much as I didn't want to go to classes tomorrow, I do want to be able to get out. We are supposed to get about an inch of snow tonight. Then it will be warm(er) this weekend then snow is predicted again next week. You have to love Texas weather.
This is the temperature for Arlington..
And this is for Anchorage, Alaska. YES IT IS COLDER IN TEXAS THAN FREAKING ALASKA!!! That is ridiculous.
A frozen solid cup of coffee I found in my apartment parking lot.

day 33 aka ice day 2
Im just going to warn you, this is a long post!
I have now not left my apartment for over 48 hours. I walked outside for a bit, but then got to cold and came back inside. Not only did we have to deal with the icey roads today, but several power plants in north texas went out today. This caused rolling blackouts. In case you dont know (i didnt before today), this is where the energy compant turns off certain neighborhoods electricity for about 15-30 minutes (this is what they said, most times it lasted about 45 minutes) then when yours comes back on, another neighborhood would go off. They said that this was needed so the entire state wouldn't lose electricity. Now this is the best part, how often your electricity depends on the usage in your area. Well... guess what happens to be in my area. Jerry World (which uses the same amount of electricity as a middle sized town), which also happend to be "exempt" from the rolling blackouts. So while people are sitting in their homes with no heat while the temperature is in the teens, Jerry Jones had plenty of heat and power. What makes it even worse is that while I only had outages a few times through out the day, my mom's neighborhood was without power for 6+ hours. That is just ridiculous. Again, there is no school tomorrow. At this point I am just ready to be able to leave this apartment. I have cabin fever like crazy!

This is right behind my car, a solid sheet of ice. People were trying to back out today and started fishtailing all over.
Solid ice frozed TO my tire.
This is a fountain on campus. They sent this in the email saying class was cancelled tomorrow.
stay warm! (changing it up a bit)

day 32
Today I woke at 7 am to two emails and three text messages saying campus was closed. I was so excited to be able to sleep in. I haven't left my apartment all day, and definitely have a case of cabin fever!! And then around 530 today they sent out the email saying that campus would be closed tomorrow too. I definitely think that by this time tomorrow I am going to be SOO ready to go back to class.
FEELS LIKE 3 DEGREES!! CRAZY!!
If you see all those cars piled up. This was on the news around 6 and they had been stuck there since 9 because of the ice. Some one who had a dune buggy came out and started pulling cars past the ice. It was so hectic.
peace.
