I love Sunday's because it is always the day that I can use to unrewind and relax before a crazy week. After I woke up this morning I turned on the T.V. and was sucked into the Jersey Shore Marathon on MTV. Say what you want, but that show is like a car accident, You don't want to watch it but you can't make yourself turn it off. After I final snapped out of my haze I went and got a really good work out in.

Now I know that I post a lot about the weather, but this just ridiculous....the hottest week in Texas in TEN YEARS!!!!! It is almost scary how hot it is outside.

Yesterday I bought the Ranger's DVD all about last season. Not going to lie the main reason I bought  it was because one of the extras was having some of the player's mic'ed up during a game. Well that was about 1.5 minutes of material, and I was a little disappointed. But, it is still cool to have and be able to watch later on.

Tonight after I got off work I made chicken fried rice for dinner. Now I am about to itch myself to death, so I am going to take some benadryl and pass out!!! What a grandma going to sleep at 8:30...it's not even dark...haha Oh well!!

Yesterday Rob came over and hung out for a while then we went to the Rangers game. It was SO hot at first but then when the sun went down it wasn't really that bad. Unfortunately we lost. We thought it was going to be a walk-off situation, but that didn't happen. Oh well it was still fun.

Today I went to class, napped, than went and got a really good workout in. When I got home my clothes I ordered from Old Navy had come in. As you know I love a good sale, so when Old Navy had a lot of clothes on clearance PLUS an additional 30% off I had to take advantage. I got a white top, a yellow striped tank top, a really cute jacket (I know who the heck needs a jacket when we are on our 22nd straight day with temps above 100, but I just couldn't resist.) and a pair of jeans. I can't wait to wear it all

I am watching the Rangers game right now and it is RIDICULOUS! It is 2 1/2 hours into the game, only the top of the 7th, and the score is 18-1 with the Rangers game. Pretty crazy.

This morning in class we learned how to do stress tests, and then got to do them on each other. I am really enjoying this class because the stuff we are learning we will actually use in the future. This is Krystel all hooked up to the EKG machine. As you can tell we get pretty up close and personal with everyone in the class because we have to prance around in our sports bras.

It has been a pretty crazy weekend. Friday Katie went into labor and Connor Lukas was born at 1:02. He is absolutely gorgeous and I am in love!

Saturday I went and saw Katie at the hospital, then I went and played with Abby (who isn't taking this whole brother thing to well). So to help out I figured she needed some one on one attention, so we had some fun.

Then tonight I went to the Rangers game. It was kinda a bummer because we not only lost but only got 4 hits, but my boo Chris Davis played!!!

This morning in lab we had to fill out these consent forms and as I was starting to read over it, it started talking about in case of DEATH! What the heck. We don't do anything in there so I sure hope I don't have to worry about dying. haha oh my goodness....

Last night we had a surprise baby shower for Katie. She had no idea and was totally surprised when she got there. One of the gifts mom got here was this towel from Target. It was this really cute shark towel complete with fin and everything....at least we thought it was a shark. We got to the party and Katie opened it was commenting on how cute it was. I said, "Yeah, it's a shark. I love it." Then she looked at me like I was crazy and said, "I'm pretty sure it is a monster." Then I realized it has huge ears, which sharks definitely do not have. Needless to say I felt dumb, really dumb. (Antoine Dodson anyone??) At least we could laugh about it.

Today, I was reading my Cosmo magazine when I read this article. If you know me you know I love a good trashy reality T.V. show. This just proves that I am not as crazy as everyone thinks!!

day 197/198

I had my first test of the summer today. So of course yesterday when I should have been studying all day, I did what I do best and procrastinated until the last possible minute. So I watched some T.V. and made my gift for Katie and Baby Connor. I have always seen diaper cakes, and so I decided to make one for her. It was actually surprisingly easy and quick! Here is the finished product..

Then today I woke up and got to school about thirty minutes before class to finish studying for my test (which I got a 94 on!! =] ) Then I came home and CRASHED! My sleep schedule is still in summer mode which consists of falling asleep around 2 or 3 a.m. and waking up around 10. However my class is at 8 am, which doesn't work so well. I guess that if I didn't take naps during the day I would be able to go to sleep later, but if I don't take naps I literally can't keep my eyes open during the day. What a conundrum! (word of the day..haha) Anyways, as I was leaving for class this morning I went to grab my favorite sunglasses and THEY BROKE!!! I seriously almost cried because I love them so much! RIP sunglasses!!

Yesterday I drove to Temple to visit Jenn and to go see the last Harry Potter movie. We saw the very first one together and have seen every one since then together. So of course we had to see the last one together. It was SOO good and we cried at the end. After we got our glasses we decided it would be cool to draw lightning bolt scars on our foreheads.

And then today as I was driving home I got stuck in a TON of traffic, which was really odd for a Saturday afternoon. Then I figured with all the talk of "carmaggedon" in L.A. that the lovely people of Texas decided they needed to partake. Thankfully, I eventually made it home.

Yesterday after class I worked out then went home with the intention of sleep. But, as soon as I started to fall asleep Krystel called me and said that she had inhaled Chlorine fumes (she works at a pool) and was going to go to Care Now. So I ended up driving her because she felt dizzy and light headed. So we got to Care Now (Who I despise....but more on that later) and they took her right back. After sitting back there for a while a doctor came in and gave her a shot of benadryl and a shot of a steroid. Than they waited 15 minutes (which is not long enough) and decided to give her an Epi shot. For those not down with drugs, that is WAY WAY WAYYYY to much medicine for a little girl like her at one time. So then she started shaking uncontrollably, breathing heavy and her BP and HR shot through the roof. So after being there for close to 3 hours they decided that it wasnt working and called the EMS to take her to the hospital. When we got to the ER and they found out how much meds she had been given they decided to just watch her until everything stabilized, and told her there was really nothing that could be done for the chlorine except drink lots of water. Moral of the story is don't EVER go to care now! They have no idea what they are doing/no bed-side manner.

Than today I have been doing classwork all day. It is so un-motivating to have to do school work in the summer, but in the long run I'll be glad I got it over with.

I accidently posted this yesterday on my other blog. Whoopsie!

I was driving around today and saw the WEINER-MOBILE!! I don't know why it is so exciting whenever I see it around town, but I always freak out. (How lame!) haha

And today was the MLB all-star game. It was really cool to watch this year because the Ranger's coaches were the coaching staff and my boo CJ was voted in for the first time!!

This morning I woke up and decided I was going to go shopping. So I got ready and drove to the mall when I got a text that my friend Katie was in the hospital. She is pregnant and is almost due, so I decided to come hang out with her at the hospital in case she did go into labor. She didn't/ hasn't but we still had a fun time talking and watching Harry Potter (again, lame huh?)

Today went by extremely fast. I made the mistake of turning on the TV when I woke up and started watching the Harry Potter marathon on ABC Family. Then I got sucked in and couldn't stop watching. I watched from when I woke up until about 7:15. How embarrasing...

Tonight I went to a zumba class with Anna Lee. It definitely kicked my butt! If you don't know what zumba is, imagine jazzercise but with salsa dancing. It is an INTENSE hour long cardio sesh, but defintely feels good to change up the routine. Here is a picture of the aftermath....

For lunch today I went to lunch at Cracker Barrel. As you walk in to the store, they have a hideous section full of UT stuff. So of course I had to leave my mark and turn all the longhorns right-side up :)

Yesterday after work I took Maxie (my car) to get a car wash. It was MUCH needed, and it looks so clean now! Of course it is probably going to rain now that I got it washed, but oh well.

Today I had to go up to school to get some things ready for summer school which starts next week. (ugh!) So before work started I ran by Old Navy and they had the sale of all sales. I got these shorts that were regularly $30 for only $5!!! How awesome!

Saturday night Nana and I went to the Rangers game to see them play against the Marlins. It was HOT!! And they lost, but it was still a lot of fun.

Sunday, I watched the Kaboom Town fireworks, which are some of the best in the country! They were awesome. It is finally summer in Texas. Look at this forecast for the next week. That is ridiculous!!

Of course yesterday was the fourth of July. This is my absolute favorite holiday, everyone is relaxed, enjoying themselves, and of course FIREWORKS! You have to love seeing things get blown up.

So last night got kind of crazy, so I wasn't able to update. My friend Katie thought she was going into labor. So I was kind of sitting around my phone waiting to see what was happening. Luckily, she wasn't (she would have been 6 weeks early). Anyways, all day yesterday I was playing on my iPad. It is so fun.

Right now I am sitting at work watching The City. While I am not in class there is absolutely NOTHING to do, so I have already watched all the Hills seasons, and so I have moved on. At least it is something to keep me occupied.
