HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!!!!! Everyone take a minute to remember everyone who has served and who is still over there. The war isn't over yet, and families are still missing their loved ones. Also, on a side note, everyone needs to watch Coming Home on Lifetime. It is an awesome show and definitely a tear jerker.

Yesterday I went and saw Bridesmaids, and it was HILARIOUS!! It seriously had me crying I was laughing so hard. I definitely needed a laugh because I wasn't feeling so hot.

And then today I went to the Rangers game with mom. It was a lot of fun but it was HOT!!! We decided to leave at the bottom of the ninth to beat the traffic, and because they were losing. But as we were about to walk out the gate they tied it up, then when we got into our car they ended up winning on a walk off hit by Elvis! it was a good game!

I finally got to go to the new IN-N-OUT in Allen tonight. It was DELISH!!! And the best part was that the line wasn't that long either. 

Then Dad, Suzanne, Rob and I went and walked around Cabela's. If you know anything about me then you know that I am NOT an outdoor-sy kinda girl. Well this store is ALL outdoor gear. And I personally thought it was the most ridiculous store ever. They had a whole section of at least a 1000 guns  and then they had all these crazy stuffed animals around. And I am not talking animals just standing there, these animals were posed attacking each other. It was SO bizarre.

Then, we got to the camo section. Rob decided to dress up in all camo and walk around the section. It was so funny!!!

I have the cold of all colds right now. I have a super sore throat, a cough, and a headache. To make it even worse I sound like I am going through puberty because my voice keeps cracking.So after I got off work I came home and took a nap, then just lounged around my apartment. And because I don't feel so hot I decided to make a batch of lemon bars to make me feel better :)

I had a me day today and went shopping. I bought this super cute shirt from Old Navy and it was only $2!!!! What a baragain! Then tonight I went to dinner with Dad and Suzanne at Babe's and it was delicious! Then we came back and watched the MAVS win and advance to the finals!

The weather has been absolutely crazy these past couple days. It is horrible what has happened in Joplin, and now all over Oklahoma. All night tonight I have been watching a live feed of the news in Oklahoma, hoping that all my friends in Norman were safe.

The weather was horrible today! It stormed pretty much all morning, and there was flash flooding everywhere. Of course it was the worst when I had to drive and walk into work, then it stopped when I got inside. Then after the storm it was humis as heck.

This weekend has been super busy so I haven't been able to update until now.

Friday I went to Prestonwood Christian Academy's graduation to see Scott graduate. It is so crazy to think that my brother and his friends are graduating. I don't have any pictures because they are all on my camera, and I am at school.

Saturday I went to a wedding at church, and it was really interesting. Then I went to taste of addison that night. It was so cool, and the food was DELISH!!

Now I am sitting at work. Because school is out I have absolutely nothing to do at work, so I have started watching the hills from season one. haha Super lame, but it makes the time go by.

I had a total fan girl moment today. I was standing in line to check out at Wal-mart, when someone with a familiar voice got in line behind me. I glanced back really fast then realized it was TOMMY HUNTER, a pitcher for the Rangers. I was in total awe. I smiled and said Hi and he said Hey back!! He was on the phone or else I would have asked for a picture, and I didn't want to be a creeper or anything haha. I got into my car and screamed. Best. Day. Ever.

Yesterday the Mavs played the first of their western conference finals against the OKC Thunder and they WON!! It is so exciting whenever home town teams are in the playoffs because it seems like the whole city gets into it.

Today I did a taste test of these different flavored drinks. It is a really cool deal. You sign up with this company and they call you every once and a while to do the taste tests, and you get paid!

One of my favorite shows is Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory. It is that one show no matter how many times I have seen it, I always have to watch it when it is on. In tonight's episode he became a wrestler at  wrestlemania. It was hilarious!

This past weekend I went to the great state of Oklahoma to see a lot of my friends graduate. It is kinda bitter sweet to see everyone graduate, but not be there with them. But I am so happy with what I am doing right now which makes it a little better. I didn't actually take a picture yesterday so these are some pictures from my freshman year... a whole FOUR years ago. Seriously the fastest four years of my life.



I got back from OK early this afternoon, and tonight I went to dinner and play BINGO with Anna Lee. Bingo is definitely an experience, and so much fun!

Two things happened today. 1) I discovered my webcam on my computer and 2) I straightened my hair. I havent straightened my hair in over a year and I totally remember why now. It took me about 45 minutes to get it straight. I can't believe I used to do that everyday.

Last night was fun. I went to watch the Rangers play the Athletics with Dad, Suzanne and Rob. It was interesting to say the least. Just FYI, there are a lot of pictures in this post.

We moved to the very top so that we could see what the field looked like up there...

Then it started raining and there was a delay. And no joke the loudest thunder clap I have ever heard!! Everyone in the stadium jumped.

When the game started back, a bunch of people had left so we moved to the front row.

Then I came home to this by my lovely roommate. It is officialy WW3 in our apartment.

Today I have literally worked all day, and will be here until 10:15. The weather has been really bad all day, and it really makes me just want to take a nap. This picture is just before the storm hit.

I only have two more finals tomorrow and then I am done!! This semester has been the busiest, most trying, and exhausting semester yet. On the other hand I feel like I have learned so much this semester and it made me completely fall in love with my major/ what I want to do when I grow up. My post today isn't exactly a picture, but a funny blurb about how college students work. And it is SO accurate!!

How to write a paper in college/university:


1. Sit in a straight, comfortable chair in a well lit place in front of your computer.

2. Log onto MSN and ICQ (be sure to go on away!). Check your email.

3. Read over the assignment carefully, to make certain you understand it.

4. Walk down to the vending machines and buy some chocolate to help you concentrate.

5. Check your email.

6. Call up a friend and ask if he/she wants to go to grab a coffee.  Just to get settled down and ready to work.

7. When you get back to your room, sit in a straight, comfortable chair in a clean, well lit place.

8. Read over the assignment again to make absolutely certain you understand it.

9. Check your email.

10. You know, you haven't written to that kid you met at camp since fourth grade. You'd better write that letter now and get it out of the way so you can concentrate.

11. Look at your teeth in the bathroom mirror.

12. Grab some mp3z off of kazaa.

13. Check your email. ANY OF THIS SOUND FAMILIAR YET?!

14. MSN chat with one of your friends about the future. (ie summer plans).

15. Check your email.

16. Listen to your new mp3z and download some more.

17. Phone your friend on the other floor and ask if she's started writing yet. Exchange derogatory emarks about your prof, the
course, the college, the world at large.

18. Walk to the store and buy a pack of gum. You've probably run out.

19. While you've got the gum you may as well buy a magazine and read it.

20. Check your email.

21. Check the newspaper listings to make sure you aren't missing something truly worthwhile on TV.

22. Play some solitare (or age of legends!).

23. Check out bored.com.

24. Wash your hands.

25. Call up a friend to see how much they have done, probably haven't started either.

26. Look through your housemate's book of pictures from home. Ask who everyone is.

27. Sit down and do some serious thinking about your plans for the future.

28. Check to see if bored.com has been updated yet.

29. Check your email and listen to your new mp3z.

30. You should be rebooting by now, assuming that windows is crashing on schedule.

31. Read over the assignment one more time, just for heck of it.

32. Scoot your chair across the room to the window and watch the sunrise.

33. Lie face down on the floor and moan.

34. Punch the wall and break something.

35. Check your email.

36. Mumble obscenities.

37. 5am - start hacking on the paper without stopping. 6am -paper is finished.

38. Complain to everyone that you didn't get any sleep because you had to write that stupid paper.

39. Go to class, hand in paper, and leave right away so you can take a nap.

Last night I went to the Rangers game with Krystel. They played the Yankees and I have always wanted to go to a Rangers vs. Yankees game. Even though they lost it was a lot of fun, and there was an awesome fireworks show after.

Tonight Rob and I had some brother/sister bonding. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch some of the Rangers game, then I went with him to help pick out Mother's day presents.

The John Mayer station on Pandora is my absolute favorite station. I listen to it all day everyday, walking to class, sitting at work, in the car... literally EVERYWHERE. It is especially gets me through work.

Today was Research Day for the kinesiology department. My group and I presented our poster AND turned in our manuscript. It feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders because this is done. It was pretty cool to walk around and see everyone else project as well. This is most of my group, one member was MIA pretty much all semester so its fitting he wasn't in this picture.

So technically this happened last night, but it was after I posted so I am considering it for today. Everyone has already heard the news, but Bin Laden is dead. I was freaked out when I first heard that the president was making a special statement so late at night and that the topic was unknown. I made myself watch it. (call me a bad American, but I never watch presidential addresses) I think it will be one of those moments were everyone will always remember where they were the moment they found out.

Yesterday I went to watch Mom graduate from a two year Dyslexia training at Scottish Rite Hospital. Then I went out to dinner and Main Event with Krystel and some of her friends. It was a fun day and definitely needed after last week.

Today I SLEPT!!! It was absolutely amazing!! Then I went to dinner with Anna Lee tonight and caught up. We were talking about how crazy we have been friends for 8 years, and how fast it has gone. Weather wise today was so depressing. It has been rainy and cold all day. Yesterday it was 90 degrees and today and tomorrow the high is 50. Texas weather is absolutely cray cray!
