Today was a very relaxing day. I feel like I am constantly on the go, so to have time to just relax is really, really nice. I laid on my bed today just listening to music for a good hour. It was SO relaxing. One of my all time favorite songs is John Mayer's cover of  "Free Fallin". He has an awesome voice and a passion for music that not many people have these days. You should check it out if you have never heard it.

Once every month the kinesiology department has guest lecturers come speak to us. Most teachers require it because they know no one would show up if they didn't. They are all boring, but today's was the worst. All I know is she experiments on rats. That grossed me out so I was done from then on. I don't do rats, even just talking about them grosses me out. That, as well as its boring, is the reason I will never EVER do research.

Today was one of those days you just want to stay in bed all day. It was overcast, cold and rainy...aka MISERABLE. And having to walk all over campus in it was not very pleasant. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

This week is going to be very crazy. I have three tests, two papers, and a research project all this week. But this weekend is opening day, so I am using that as my motivation to get through the week.

I can't believe this weekend is almost over. It seems like every weekend goes by faster and faster. This morning I went to church and lunch with mom and Rob. We had Kelly's East Sider and it was delicious as always. Then I watched a bit of the Ranger's game (opening day is next weekend!!!) and then went and visited Dad and Suzanne. Now I am home and about to pass out, tomorrow I get to sleep in!

I went to the Dallas Zoo today with Katie and Abby. It was SO much fun because I hadn't been to the zoo in so long. I decided that you are never to old to enjoy it.

Today I officially dropped Genetics. This class ended up being so overwhelming, so I just decided to drop it. Now I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. My professor was the only guy left in the world still using transparencies (soo boring). He was way behind the times. Oh well, I never have to sit in that class again!!

It's almost the weekend!! This week has gone by incredibly fast, giving the fact that it was the week after spring break. Today was a pretty funny day. We had to go to listen to Master's students give their thesis presentations. Well I guess one of my professors thought my friend and I were really excited to be there (we were getting a rare extra credit for 2 classes, so of course I was going to be there.) because he started making us follow him around to listen to all these presentations. We only were required to listen to one so we had to find a way to get away from him, and then not let him see us afain for the rest of the time. It was pretty funny to see us dodging this crazy professor.

So right now I am sitting at work, and right down the hall from me Bill Nye the Science Guy is giving a talk. I am soo jealous! First of all, after all those rumors back in elementary school that he had died, I just need to see him in person. But how cool would it be to hear him speak. When I think of elementary science I definitely think of Bill Nye. Unfortunately I couldn't get tickets, so I don't get to see him. Oh well...

Today was by far the windiest day I have ever experienced in Texas. When I was in Oklahoma it got pretty bad, but it has never been this bad in Texas. It was at least 40 mph, and my car was going crazy while I was driving. This picture doesn't even do it justice.

Oh man today was a tough day. It is definitely hard to switch out of break mode and back into school mode. Thankfully though, I only had one class today so it wasn't to bad. I walked out of class
 today to see this note posted on the door of the class WE WERE IN!!!! no big deal, just unsafe conditions.

If you know me you, you know I love to find a good sale. Well...I desperately needed new sheets for my bed, so I went to Kohl's before I had to be at work. I ended up finding the ones that I wanted,which were regular $40, on sale for half off. AND on top of that I had $10 Kohl's cash. So they ended up only costing $10 dollars. I think they are really cute and summery too.

Today was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! The weather has been great these past couple days, and as it looks it will continue for the next week or so. The other great thing about today is I got to sleep in, and I took full advantage. I didn't think I was that tired from my trip, but turns out I was because I ended up sleeping 12 hours last night. It was marvelous!

day 72-76

Sunday I left for Las Vegas with my friend Hillary. We had so much fun and it was nice to get away for a little bit. Pretty much all day Sunday we were flying. I flew to OKC, then we flew to Houston and then on to Vegas. We got there, ate dinner, and walked around near our hotel for a bit.

Monday we walked around to see a lot of the other hotels. We went to the coca-cola store and tried sodas from all over the world. They were interesting to say the least. It is always fun to people watch in Vegas because there are some serious characters there. Monday night we went to see the Jabbawockeez show. The Jabbawockeez were the winners of America's Best Dance Crew on MTV. The show was really really good. It was funny, but had a good message. I definitely recommend it if you are ever in Las Vegas.

Tuesday we finished sight seeing by going to all the hotels we didn't go to the day before. For dinner we went to In- N-Out, a west coast staple, and of course it didn't disappoint. Then we hung out at our hotel and met some interesting people. One of the guys we met was the co-investor in Walt Disney Productions and is currently one of the biggest boxing promotors. He is only a multi-millionaire, owns a suite at the Bellagio, and was talking to us. No big deal.

Wednesday, we flew home early. And of course any trip I go on always has a delay. So my flight from OKC to Dallas was delayed several hours. It would have been bad, but luckily I had my IPad so I downloaded a movie to watch and helped passed the time.

Today, I slept!!! It was so nice. the night before I only got 2 hours of sleep and didn't really sleep on the plane, so it was nice to get rested up. The worst part of any trip is always unpacking and doing laundry. I am definitely dreading it.

I went wedding dress shopping with my good friend Jenn today. She is getting married September 10 (how cool, 9/10/11) It was so much fun and so surreal at the same time. I still don't feel old enough to have all my friend's getting married. The best part was she asked me to be maid of honor. I started to cry when she asked me! I am so excited to get to be a part of their special day.

I had my exercise physiology lab today. Every week we learn to do different tests, and this week was a max V02 test. Basically someone rides a bike while wearing head gear, and the longer he pedals the resistance increases. It sounds stupid but that was by far the coolest and most complex test we have done all semester. It usually costs $1200, but if we volunteer we can get all the info for free.

There was also a fire warning all day today. There were TONS of grass fires all over the metroplex. The complex across from ours had an apartment catch on fire today. It was really bad, and I could smell the smoke inside my apartment.

ONE CLASS STANDS BETWEEN ME AND SPRING BREAK!!!!! oh my goodness do I need a break. It is going to be excellent!! Today was really fun. For those of you that don't know UTA has the top ranked wheelchair basketball teams in the country. Players come from all over the world just to play at UTA, so I made it a point to go to at least one game this year. Well today was the beginning of the National Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball Championships and of course UTA was playing in it, so my friend Tiffany and I decided to go to the game. It was so much fun and they play really hard, way harder than normal athletes. I definitely think that everyone should try to go to at least one game in their life time. It is really cool. After the game Tiffany came over and we worked on a project for a class for a while.

This week has been INCREDIBLY stressful. All of my professors have realized we are halfway through the semester and have started to panic. As a result they are lecturing at the speed of light and expect us to keep up. They are also assigning all this stuff to be do OVER SPRING BREAK!! ughh no... this is not okay with me. It is a BREAK, not another school week where we just don't go to class.When we complain and ask if it is really due over break, they say that we already had our break (the ice days 3 weeks into the semester) so we don't get another one. Anyways I have been trying to get everything that is due this week and next week done so I don't have to think of anything while I am out of town.

Day 67

I have been having this uncomfortable pain in my back over the last couple of months. I went to the doctor last week and found out it is a compressed nerve causing all the discomfort. Well she prescribed me a lidocaine patch to wear at night so that I can sleep. Well I just put one on and OHHH BABYYY it is awesome! For the first time in a while my back doesn't hurt. Well technically I can't feel my back at all, but that's just a minor detail. It is AMAZING.

I got my physic's test back today and got an 89!!!! I was so nervous because I thought the test was really hard, and wasn't to sure how I did. But it turns out I was one of the higher grades. The highest was a 92 and the average was a 40. So needless to say I was happy.

It has been a super busy weekend. I leave for Las Vegas a week from today, so I have been rounding up everything that I need this weekend because I won't have time this week. Yesterday Dad, Suzanne, Rob, and I went shopping. I got a bunch of cute new stuff.

Today was a really relaxing day. And tonight the moon was awesome. This picture doesn't really do it justice. All you could see was a small sliver of the moon, and that was all that was in the sky. It was really cool.

After class today I had a doctor's appointment in Plano. So I went to that then mom and I went to lunch and Target, before I headed back to Arlington for work. At target I bought these super cute new flats and the best part is they were only 8 dollars!!!! I love a good bargain!!!

IT'S ALMOST BASEBALL SEASON!!!! I turned on the MLB Network and wouldn't you know it there was a hour special on my Texas Rangers. I am soooo excited.

day 61

I was on my way to school today when I got stuck at the train tracks. We sat there for a few minutes without anything coming across the tracks. Finally these little tractor things come rolling across the tracks. There is like ten of them all about 1/2 a mile after another. It was by far the longest time I have had to sit at a railroad cross ever. The best part is that I was driving thinking about what I wanted to put as my picture today when all these happened. Pretty funny.

I made a bad mistake this weekend of not doing anything. Last week I was so in the zone when it came to studying, then I lost all motivation. Now I have a physics test tomorrow and can not get the motivation to study. We are supposed to make a note card with anything that we want on it, well obviously I haven't done anything yet.
