Everyone say a prayer right now that class is cancelled tomorrow!! This storm is going getting so much hype, I'm going to be really disappointed if there is nothing on the ground tomorrow when I wake up. Although, I have this feeling that it is not going to be nearly as bad as everyone is predicting. Oh well. Today I got my new purse in the mail! I had a similar one, but it was getting old so it was time for a new one.

First off, our church service today was AWESOME! I can't realyy describe it but GOD was definitely at work today. After church, I went with Katie to see our friend Heather who had a baby Friday. It was really good to see her and Jaxon is adorable. Have a good week!

I feel like my life is being taken over by the super bowl. Living in Arlington literally EVERYTHING has something to do with the big game. They closed off al the roads around the stadium this week, which just happened to be the same streets I take to get to school. Needless to say, it is taking me forever and a day to get to school and back. I went to dinner with the Smith's and Katie and Adam tonight. It was fun, and I got to play with my love Abby. I am seriously in love with this little girl. She is the cutest thing ever.

The number one reason I LOVE Texas is because it can be the last week of January and 75 degrees. It felt AMAZING today. But...of course, like normal Texas weather, it is supposed to snow next week. Oh well, Im enjoying it while it lasts.

Today was just one of those days where you can't wait to get home to take a nap. Another plus, is Thursday is the absolute best TV day of the week. I don't really have much else that went on today. I am exhausted. For some reason I have been waking up between 7-830 everyday. This semester I purposely scheduled my classes later so that I could sleep in, but obviously my body had other plans. Anyways, tonight I went to dinner at 3 forks. I had never been before and it was really good. Sorry its a bad picture, I was going to take one of the menu but totally forgot. oh well.

day 25

I started this day thinking it was going to be the worlds longest day with absolutely no break time. It turns out that my physics lab doesnt start until next week, so that was three hours I got back to myself today. Then I went to work and around 800 the electricity went out at the MAC (the gym where I was working). After standing outside for 30 minutes in the freezing cold the UTAPD came and it said it would be 3-4 hours until the power came back on. So, I got to go home early!!! It was wonderful. This is kinda a bad picture, but it was while I was standing outside the MAC waiting to see what was going on. It was pitch black. (Don't worry Nana there were plenty of people there ;)

The big news is I got to sleep in today!! haha I have been so exhausted this past week that it was nice to not have to set an alarm. The only class I had today was Physics. I was kinda nervous going into this class, because I'm not really a physics person, but our professor is really cool. He really makes an effort to help us understand the material. The first class he gave us these number cards, and every class he gives us 8-10 questions and then has us vote on the right answer. It helps so much.

This post is going to be super short. I rearranged my room when I got home from work. I think it was definitely a much needed change. I also got organized and threw a bunch of stuff away. I have determined that I am a total pack rat. I keep everything thinking I might need it one day, and then never EVER use it. Anyways, heres my new arraingement.

Day 22

Happy Weekend!

I have to work all weekend which isn't that fun. But it is nice to just relax after I get off. After I got off Krystel and I went to FUZZY'S. They have the absolute best tacos EVER! So So yummy, and we had both been craving it. Then we went and worked out. (to work off those tacos). I have been making it a goal to do some sort of workout everyday. And now I'm at the point where I start feeling sluggish if I don't. I love it because it keeps me motivated. Anyways hope yall had an awesome day!!

Not much really happened today. I am sitting on the couch watching The Social Network contemplating if I should go to sleep at 945 on a Friday night. Lame I know, but I could barely keep my eyes open today. This is the first semester in a long time that I have had classes all 5 days of the week, and it is kicking my butt. Oh well, this post is short and sweet. My picture today is of one of my best friends Cortney's baby. His name is Baron Carter Keathley and he was born today around 6 o'clock. He looks absolutely adorable and I can NOT wait to hold him.

Day 20

It's almost Friday!!!!!! (can you tell I'm ready for the weekend??)

Anyways, Class was good today. In my research methods class we picked out our groups for our project. In this class we work on a research project all semester then present it during finals week. It gets us ready to do the same project by ourselves in another class (which I am taking next fall). Then I had genetics, which is going to be one of my favorite classes, I think. Our professor told us a really interesting fact I thought I would share. (I'm a nerd so I think this is really cool!)

Think of the depth of a dime, which is 5 mm thick. 200 nuclei stacked on top of each other would be the same height. Inside of each nuclei is 46 chromosomes. If you took those chromosomes and put one on top of the other that would be 2 meters tall. So, 2 meters of DNA is in every nucleus. Isn't that crazy?!?! That's not even the best part. There are 10^13 (ten with 13 zeros behind it) cells in a human being. Which means 2x10^13 meters of DNA. That is long enough to go from the earth to the sun and back about 75 times. Crazy huh??

Okay, so enough of being a nerd. I had to be at work at 4. Around 4:30 my roommate text me and said that a drunk guy, who had just been peeing in the front of our apartment complex, had just smashed into a truck that is two car port spaces away from mine. If I would have been home it would have been bye bye maxy (my car). God was definitely looking out for me. Here is a picture, it doesn't really do it justice though.

day 19

Today was an EXCELLENT DAY. I woke up way before class (which i never do) and got a lot accomplished. I worked out for a bit and then went back to my apartment to get ready for class. Well of course there was no water because the people who live above us had to have their hot water heater explode. Eventually one day I will be able to get ready with out some major event happening. So obviously workout + no shower= heather wore sweats today. I went to my physics class today, which I am kind of nervous about. We were given two sample questions. During the first question the girls behind me had absolutely no idea how to find the volume of a square. During the next question the guy to my right asked me what a sphere was. (no joke) Come on now, should you really be in a college level physics class if you cant do basic geometry?? no. Needless to say I feel WAYYY better about this class. After that I came to work, which is where I am posting from. I have been here for way to long an I am So ready to get off. Oh well. My picture for today is of my desk at work. Day 18

Today was really interesting. As I was getting ready this morning the electricity went out. So I was getting ready with no light. It was interesting to say the least. (side story: Every single first day of a semester I have had in college has had something go wrong. I have either over slept, been stuck in traffic, electricity went out, etc.) So after I got ready in a hurry, I walked out our door and found our trash EVERYWHERE. We had put it outside to remember to take it this morning. A Racoon had gotten into it and trash was literally all over. So I unhappily cleaned that up, then finally went to school. I am really excited about all my classes. I am taking three kines classes which I am REALLY looking forward too. When I got home, I made myself a total old school snack. Ants on a log. haha it's sooo good. And I have basically just hung out and gotten organized the rest of the night. This is my last day off for a while so I made sure to enjoy it.

Tomorrow is the first day of spring semester.....and hopefully my LAST spring semester. (fingers crossed) Anyways today was pretty much spent getting ready for classes to start, printing syllabi, notes, getting supplies, etc. I also had this crazy spring cleaning spree come upon me today. I just got this urge and got totally organized. Anyways, I hope yall have a GREAT day!

Day 14/15/16

Day 14

Friday was the first day of DNOW. I was kind of nervous because it has been 5 years since I was at a DNOW, and was't sure what it would be like to be there but as a leader. So Friday night we showed up at church, had a praise band lead worship, then went back to our host homes and had a session. I had 9th grade girls and they were SO sweet. They all seemed really close and were laughing pretty much the whole time. Our theme was sexual purity, and all our discussions were based around 1 Thes. 4:3-4.

Day 15

Saturday was a SUPER busy day. We woke up and had a few sessions then worked on our skit. At lunch time we drove out to a baptist encampment at Lake Lavon, ate lunch, and did a service project. Our grade was assigned to clean the cafeteria. It sounds easy but no, we were basically cleaning our own mess. We had just eaten in there and tracked in a LOT of mud. It was a lot of work but the girls made it fun. After that we went back to church had some worship time, a guest speaker, and then skit night.

Day 16

Today, we woke up and went to sunday school and service. Then I came home and SLEPTT!!!!! It was an awesome weekend. Its always so funny because you don't realize how much you have changed until you are back around high schoolers and you realize you can't stay up as late, or be as crazy as you used too. Finally, I heard this verse today in Church and really liked it. "It is better now to vow then to make a vow and break it." Ecclesiastes 5:5.

Happy Jersday!!!

Today was honestly the most stressful day of my life. I can't really explain why or what made it so stressful, but I have had this stressfull feeling all day. It's weird I know, especially since it was my day off. But oh well. Good news though.... there is a new Grey's Anatomy, Police Women of Cincinnati, and.... JERSEY SHORE!!!! I know it is the trashiest t.v. show out there, but its like a bad wreck that you cant turn away from. Well my picture today is of my new sweatshirt I bought. It is SO cute and was super cheap. I start DNOW tomorrow so I'll post all my pictures from this weekend on Sunday. Everyone say a little prayer for all the students and leaders taking part in this weekend.

Today was very busy. I worked all morning/afternoon. As soon as I got off I had to hurry to Plano for DNOW banquet. I'm really excited about. I met all the girls tonight, as well as the other leader I am working with and they all seem really really sweet. It was kind of surreal to look around and see that all the leaders were people I went to high school and DNOWs with. Now we are the "responsible" ones leading the discussions. So heres a picture of my binder of information (which makes me feel really important) haha

So I had it all planned out that my picture for today was going to be from the banquet tonight. Then GOD gave me this driving to work today. It just reminds me that as much as I plan, GOD has his own plan for my life that I could never plan for myself.

Let's start with the picture for today first....

 29 DEGREES AT NOON!!!!!!!!! That is absolutely ridiculous. It should never be that cold, ANYWHERE. I absolutely hate cold weather, so needless to say today was a day where you put on multiple layers of sweatpants, sit on the couch all day, and stay away from outside at all costs. Thankfully, the weather man said that were going to have about 2 weeks of  "winter" then its back to a normal Texas winter (which is still to cold for me, might I add).

Day 10

Today was a good day. Work, tan, workout. Thats about it. But Krystel came back today!! I have no idea how I lived by myself for a year, because now I cant even last two weeks without having a roommate. It's so boring to have no one to talk to or go out with. Oh well, shes back now!!!

Day 9

Today was a great day! It snowed (and not a typical Texas snow) We got about 3 inches. It was so out of the blue too. We went to church and it was just cold and rainy, an hour later we leave and there is a blanket of snow on everything. It was crazy! But of course it is all melted now, so it was fun while it lasted. Tomorrow starts my last week of break, its kinda depressing, but I am definitely ready to get into a schedule again. Anyways, heres my picture of the snow.

Day 7/8

Last night I went to the Cotton Bowl to see LSU play. I sat with my brother and we had a blast. We saw so many crazy (drunk) people, it was hilarious. And the best part is THEY WON!! It was fun and of course walking around Jerry world wasn't to bad either. So here is my day 6 picture, which is the Golden Band during pregame.

And because I am an over acheiever (and super bored at work) I already have today's picture. I started reading Dirty Sexy Politics by Meghan McCain. Now I'm not really into the whole politics thing but this book is really good! She talks about her time on the campaign trail with her dad. And if you don't know much about her, she is a very outspoken, break the mold kinda girl who lives by the motto "No Secrets". So, of course this caused problems when people tried to change her image for her dad's presidential race. Anyways, its a really, really good book.

Day 6

HELLO!!!!

Today was pretty boring. I have come to realize that as I get older the more boring I get. The most exciting news today is that I joined Weight Watchers. I have become way more concious of what I eat/put in my body ever since I changed my major. I am really excited about Weight Watchers and hopefully this plus really intensifying my work outs will have some good outcomes.

Also, Caitlin and Chassidy told us that they want to go on our Spring Break trip with us. I am so excited for a girls week. It's going to be a BLAST!!!

Lastly, I love finding new quotes/saying/verses that keep me motivated. They showed this video this past  Sunday at church. It is really really good.

Day 5

For some reason Blogspot wouldn't let me post last night, so I will have to post yesterday's picture today. Around Christmas time I went to look at Christmas lights around Arlington and found this house. Texas is usually known for being flat everywhere, but there is this small part of Arlington that has ridiculous hills. So this house sits on top of  a hill and is like a story up from the drive way. It is SO cool looking.

Day 4

Today was a very simple day. I really think you need those every once and a while. I lounged around the apartment for most of the morning/afternoon. Then I went to the gym and got a really good workout in. There was absolutely no one there. (which NEVER happens) So needless to say I had a wide range of machines to use (which also NEVER happens). Day 3

I hate to admit it, but I am kinda ready to start school again. I miss having a routine everyday. Today has been pretty boring. So here is my picture for day 3:

I am planning on taking the GRE in February, so I bought a study guide. Today at work I started making note cards of all the vocab I might need to know. I worked on them my whole 6 hour shift and still have about 200 more to make. I have already made around 500. Lets just hope I can actually memorize them.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today was a relaxing day. I went to church then to a meeting about DNOW. I'm teaching this year for the first time and I am so excited about it. It is going to be so much fun. Then I went to dinner with my friends Jenn and Katie. We talked for almost 3 hours it was great to catch up.
