Other than that school is school. Classes are going well, however I am ready to really get in to my major classes and not take any more gen-eds.
Im sure most people have heard about this but there was a shooting at the UT-Austin campus yesterday. College shootings are always scary, but this one hit home even more because a) I go to a UT satellite school and b) I know a lot of people that go there. It got me thinking how I would react if I got an email or text saying the campus was on lockdown. I honestly think I would freak out and not even know what to do. Its scary that we even have to worry about these things these days. When I walk on any college campus I have a sense of security because you are surrounded by other college students like you, or so I think. What is there to stop crazy people from walking around the campus? just something to think about.
Day 13- A Ficitional Book
I don't really read many fictional books, but this was my favorite book (and movie) that I read in school.
And fun story, when Louis Sachar was writing this book I was in 4th grade and he came to talk to us at Rasor. He read the first chapter of this book that he had just written. Pretty cool to think now.
peace.
