day 33 aka ice day 2

Im just going to warn you, this is a long post!

I have now not left my apartment for over 48 hours. I walked outside for a bit, but then got to cold and came back inside. Not only did we have to deal with the icey roads today, but several power plants in north texas went out today. This caused rolling blackouts. In case you dont know (i didnt before today), this is where the energy compant turns off certain neighborhoods electricity for about 15-30 minutes (this is what they said, most times it lasted about 45 minutes) then when yours comes back on, another neighborhood would go off. They said that this was needed so the entire state wouldn't lose electricity. Now this is the best part, how often your electricity depends on the usage in your area. Well... guess what happens to be in my area. Jerry World (which uses the same amount of electricity as a middle sized town), which also happend to be "exempt" from the rolling blackouts. So while people are sitting in their homes with no heat while the temperature is in the teens, Jerry Jones had plenty of heat and power. What makes it even worse is that while I only had outages a few times through out the day, my mom's neighborhood was without power for 6+ hours. That is just ridiculous. Again, there is no school tomorrow. At this point I am just ready to be able to leave this apartment. I have cabin fever like crazy!
This is right behind my car, a solid sheet of ice. People were trying to back out today and started fishtailing all over.

Solid ice frozed TO my tire.

This is a fountain on campus. They sent this in the email saying class was cancelled tomorrow.

stay warm! (changing it up a bit)
